There is nothing better than riding your horse on a warm summer’s day or evening. At this time of year we often turn horses out in the field whilst the grass is plentiful and the ground is dry. But what do you do if it is a warm, sunny day with the chance of a rain shower? Do you put a fly rug on your horse and risk it getting wet through? Do you leave your horse without a rug on and at the mercy of the flies? Do you put a lightweight turnout rug on and risk them overheating? We have solved your problems with the Stay-Dry Super Lite Fly Rug.

Our Stay-Dry Super Lite Fly Rug has the benefits of both a fly rug and a lightweight turnout rug. The sides of the rug are made from an incredibly lightweight and highly breathable fine mesh material, whilst the top-line (all along the neck and back) is made from a fully waterproof 600 denier ripstop polyester. This rug is designed to keep your horse cool on warm days and protect from any sudden showers, leaving your horse’s back and neck dry.

Of course, this is advantageous when you want to ride your horse after turnout. The last thing you want to do is put a saddle on a wet horse, which can cause rubbing and general discomfort. The Stay-Dry Super Lite Fly Rug will keep the saddle area dry, allowing you to tack up without any worries and whenever you need to. The rug also comes with our usual high quality fastenings and features…

· Long neck cover keeps your horse’s mane and neck sheltered even when they have their head down grazing in the field.

· Extra high elasticated shoulder gusset allows a greater range of movement at the shoulder, ensuring your horse has total freedom of movement in the field.

· Wrap-around belly flap helps keep the rug in place and provides maximum protection from flies and other biting insects.

· Stainless steel fastenings will stand the test of time and wear as new throughout the seasons.

Please note: This rug is not fully waterproof and is only intended for wear in conditions where light showers are forecast. It will not keep your horse dry all over.
