The outer fabric has a Teflon coating for stain resistance and moisture protection. Beneath the bold outer, this rug includes a protective membrane that repels water, ensuring added comfort.
Designed with meticulous attention to detail, this rug is cut 2-4” in front of the wither allowing the neckline to fall comfortably in front of the shoulder. This no-fill turnout rug has no neck cover or neck cover attachments, making the ideal lightweight turnout for horses that prefer a rug without a neck. With liner attachments at the ready, the Akoni can be quickly adapted to suit your horse’s needs.
Reflective strips at the front and rear of the rug increase visibility in low light conditions and an extra-high patented elasticated shoulder gusset allows for a greater range of movement at the shoulder. The strategically placed chest clip closures, surcingle bars, and hardware are expertly crafted from high-quality stainless steel for long-lasting functionality.
The lining, made from antibacterial and anti-static material, enhances hygiene and comfort, promoting good coat health. As a final touch, this rug includes an essential clip-on PVC coated tail strap, protected by an easy-clean coating to preserve the tail strap’s durability over time. Our turnout rugs are self-righting and do not require leg straps, however we include a pair of clip-on adjustable leg straps for those who like to use them.
